The light house...obviouslyTrucking along in our new mobile home, or camper van rather- Shazam! This puppy gets about 6 miles to gallon, but has super heros painted on the side so its not a bad deal.
We flew up from Sydney to the Gold Coast on Monday, stayed in Coolangatta for a night then bused it up north to Brisbane to pick up our camper van. Got caught in the rain, but finally made it to Shazam. We then drove down south, again in the rain to reach Byron Bay. It has beautiful almost everyday in Sydney but for some reason now that we are bumming it on the Gold Coast for some sun and surf, Australia is getting the most rain it has gotten in like the last 7 years! Hhaha go figure.
Byron Bay is beautiful. We drove up to see some massive waterfalls today and as we were picnicing in the park, ran into a 3 foot long Lizard and a 4 foot long snake. It was crazy! We walked along the beach, but it was to cloudy to swim or sun bath. We picked up some snorkle gear at the store today so hopefully the sun will be shining tomorrow (although not likely :( ) so we can test em out.
Our little camper travel burner was broken so we ate a cold dinner. Slept our first night in the camper van last night and got busted for sleeping in a place we werent supposed to. Apparently we missed the giant sign in front of us saying no parking...ooops. We were just sternly woken up and asked to move on. Oh traveling is so glamourous......
Its all good though. I am digging Byron Bay, its famous for its surfer laid back attitude and although its crappy outside, we have been finding enough silly things to amuse ourselves.( aka eating copious amounts of ice cream and having dance parties in the parking lots)

Anyways, Jaipur is getting nice and warm again but you have your big adventure there (everywhere actually, no?;)) so enjoy as much as you can and all the best for the rest of the traveling! (I hope you settled things in the embassy..)
